Water Release Warning System

At hydropower stations, water level of the reservoir is subject to strict monitoring and control. Excess water is at times released through the bypass channel, for various reasons. In order to avoid accidents, it is customary to warn the public by sounding sirens before the release. The sirens are activated by pressing a button in the base station. The signal is transmitted to the site by means of SATELLINE-3AS radio modems.
