SATEL Oy has joined the ICT producer co-operative society

WEEE Directive 2002/96/EC
Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is the fastest growing element in the municipal waste stream. There are many hazardous substances used in IT equipment including lead, cadmium and mercury.
Disposal poses a real threat of pollution to our water, air and land. Therefore EC has issued the WEEE Directive, the aim of the directive is:
– to raise the recycling level
– encourages designers to create products with recycling in mind
The recycling must be taken care by the manufacturer; that’s why SATEL Oy has joined the ICT producer co-operative society.
