SATEL is a leading developer and producer of mission-critical wireless communication solutions. We are now investing increased efforts in the data transmission demands for advancing automated and autonomous applications. To do this, we need energetic, competent expert to join our world-class technology team.
At present, digitalization and automation are advancing in leaps and bounds in construction, mining, and agriculture. In the upcoming years, this development will continue to move strongly towards machines and devices that operate independently, autonomously. It calls for extensive development in the global field of technology, for example in wireless data transmission technologies for artificial intelligence, sensor reading and safety signals.
Product Manager – Autonomous Machines
As a product manager, you work closely with our customers in determining, developing and creating future solutions. You work in our MCMC team (Mission Critical Machine Control). You are the team’s main point of contact, for example towards our customers and stakeholders. You are strongly involved in development processes and are responsible for MCCU products (Mission Critical Connectivity Unit) throughout their entire life cycle. In many respects, your role corresponds to the job description of a technical product manager. Our head office is in Salo and our customers are abroad, so you must be ready to travel.
You have experience with machine control systems, and you have a vision of the direction in which machine control is developing. You have prior experience in machine control or vehicle data transmission systems either in the field of smart agriculture, construction, port or mining industry.
To be able to work effectively as a Product Manager, you should have competence in the following areas:
- Prior experience in machine control.
- Standardization (for ex. ISO, ETSI, safety) related to data transmission systems for heavy-duty machinery.
- Artificial intelligence and edge computing.
- Data security and what it requires in applications for heavy-duty vehicles.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, 4G/LTE/5G, WiFi and industrial data transmission electronics is an advantage.
You may have already progressed in your career or you may have just a few years’ experience. Prior experience working as a technical product manager is a good asset.
You will also need the ability to actively participate in discussions with partners and clients. Therefore, fluent English is a must, and a broader knowledge of languages is certainly an asset.
