We started our journey in Finland in 1986, building reliable radio networking technology for mission‑critical data connectivity. From there, we expanded into nearby European markets, Sweden among the early front‑runners.
We strengthened our portfolio and grew through an expanding global distributor network, bringing our connectivity solutions to a wider range of industrial use cases. During the decade, our footprint extended beyond Europe to the USA and parts of Asia.
We continued expanding globally, including Australia and several African markets.
We also developed radio variants compliant with the Dutch KAR (Korte Afstand Radio) specification for public transportation data communications. Over the years, we have delivered tens of thousands of devices for KAR-based deployments.
In 2008, we launched the SATELLAR product family, introducing a modular platform with TCP/IP capabilities to broaden our offering beyond traditional radio modem deployments.
We entered the BESCOM project in Bangalore, India, as the supplier of a USD 9 million turn‑key radio data communications network with a three‑year maintenance scope. Our solution combined a redundant microwave backbone, a UHF radio network with redundant master stations, and a Network Management System (NMS), supporting BESCOM’s goal to improve its 11 kV distribution network and lay the groundwork for a future Smart Grid.
In parallel, we broadened our portfolio beyond fully enclosed devices to include modular and module‑based products.
We have increasingly focused on combining private radio networking with adjacent technologies like cellular to improve availability and modernization paths.
Our multi‑technology product development supports the future of semi‑autonomous and autonomous industrial operations. As we celebrate four decades of mission‑critical connectivity, we continue to expand into new regions and new solutions.
