Purpose of this Notice
This notice is provided in accordance with the EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854) to inform users about the data generated by the use of our connected product/device and related service, and how they can exercise their rights under the Act.
1. Data Categories Collected
We collect non-personal data generated during the operation of the Device and its connection to the Cloud service. While most data generated by the Device and Cloud service is non-personal technical data, some data elements may constitute personal data under the GDPR. Such personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and SATEL’s Privacy Policy.
Database content: SATEL product name, device serial number, device status information, the device’s previous connection time, the features activated on the device, feature activation and deactivation times, the device’s software version, the user’s email address, user role in system, the company name, SSR subscription type, Group ID.

The signals collected are accessible through WebUI (if applicable) and MQTT API of device.
2. Purpose of Data Collection
The data is collected to:
- Ensure proper functioning of the Device and Cloud service
- Monitor performance and reliability of Devices
- Provide software updates and security patches for Devices
- Improve Device quality and user experience
- Which features are enable for Devices
The information provided to SATEL can be deleted at the user’s request or when it is no longer needed.
3. User Rights Under the EU Data Act
As a user of the Device, you have the following rights:
- Access to Data: You may request access to the raw data and associated metadata generated by your Device, free of charge, in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
You may request access to or deletion of your personal data and associated metadata generated to Cloud service.
- Data Sharing: You may instruct us to share your Device data with a third party of your choice.
- Conditions: Data access and sharing will be provided securely and without undue delay.
How to Request Data Access or Sharing
To exercise your rights:
- Submit a request via https://www.satel.com/support-and-services/technical-support/ or contact directly via e-mail to info@satel.com
- Authenticate your identity as the Device owner
- Specify whether you want the data for yourself or for a designated third party
5. Data Retention
Telemetry and configuration data are retained for as long as necessary for operational and diagnostic purposes, but no longer than 10 years unless longer period is required by applicable laws. After this period, data is anonymized or deleted.
6. Trade Secrets and Security
While fulfilling your request, we will ensure protection of trade secrets and security of our systems as required by the EU Data Act.
