Purpose of processing personal data (purpose of registration):
The purpose of the register is to maintain information on the users and devices of the SSR service, so that we can know what kind of device base each user has, which features are enabled, and to support usage‑based billing. This enables us to provide device configuration and updates to customers who have subscribed to the service as well as to SATEL users.
The information provided to SATEL can be deleted at the user’s request or when it is no longer needed.
Data content of the register:
Database content: SATEL product name, device serial number, device status information, the device’s previous connection time, the features activated on the device, feature activation and deactivation times, the device’s software version, the user’s email address, user role in system, the company name, SSR subscription type, Group ID.
Regular sources of information
A person requesting SSR access rights provides their email information personally to SATEL’s contact person, after which a SATEL employee with the appropriate access rights adds this information to the database.
In addition the person in Admin-role of the customer’s user group can also add new users to that group according to the Satel and customer agreements.
Device information is updated in the registry during system use, either as a result of user actions or by a SATEL employee with the appropriate access rights.
Regular disclosure of data and transfer of data outside the EU or the European Economic Area
Satel Oy can disclose the information contained in its register to significant third parties when it is needed. In principle data is not transferred outside the EU or the European Economic Area
Principle of registry protection
The database management interface is protected with a role‑based (ADMIN) user role. Only SATEL ADMIN users who need access to this information are granted the right to view or modify the data.
The database’s Internet‑facing interface is protected with an HTTPS connection. The transmitted data is strongly encrypted using public key cryptography.
Right of inspection and enforcement of the right of inspection:
A SATEL employee who has ADMIN rights and serves as the service’s contact person has the right to review the information stored in the register, request the correction of inaccurate information, and otherwise exercise the rights granted under the Personal Data Act.
Requests for inspection and correction of information must be submitted by email to the person responsible for the register.
Cookies and site usage statistics:
The ssr.satel.com website, which hosts the database, may use cookies.
Cookies are pieces of information that describe the use of the internet service. They are stored, for example, on the user’s computer and can be used to manage communication between the web browser and the server.
The user may, if desired, block the use of cookies by changing their browser settings.
The use of Satel Oy’s ssr.satel.com website may be monitored anonymously using Google Analytics, log files and cookies. The user’s personal data is not merged with the traffic statistics.
